News of Insurance — Members of the Labuan International Insurance Association (LIIA) gathered on Labuan Island on May 19 and 20 for the association’s 29th Annual General Meeting, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders for a series of business engagements, networking activities, and recreational events.

The two-day programme featured the association’s Annual General Meeting, a bilateral meeting with the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA), an outdoor dinner reception, a golf challenge, and day and night island excursions, providing members with opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and foster collaboration within the international insurance community.

Alongside the official agenda, board and staff meetings were also held, allowing participants to discuss strategic priorities and organizational matters.

The gathering served as an important platform for members to reconnect with clients, business partners, industry peers, and associates while exchanging insights on developments within the insurance and financial services sectors.
