Banking News – During the “Sun Nepal Club Motivating Program” organized by Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited, Rajendra Maharjan, Chief of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Office, urged insurance agents to prioritize professional conduct, transparency, and the interests of policyholders.

He emphasized that agents should properly assess the financial situation, needs, and risks of clients before recommending suitable insurance plans. He also stressed the need to provide clear information to clients regarding the benefits, terms, risks, and obligations of insurance policies.

Noting that agents play a crucial role in reducing mis-selling in the insurance sector, Maharjan urged them to ensure accurate and complete dissemination of information. He stated that the conduct of agents directly impacts the reputation of the company and public trust in the overall insurance sector.

He also highlighted that after securing insurance, agents have a significant responsibility to provide necessary services to policyholders, share policy-related information, and facilitate the claims process. The program was attended by company officials and insurance agents from various levels.
