News of Insurance – In any leading company, the success of the Chief Executive Officer is closely tied to the collective efforts of the entire team. From top-level executives to insurance brokers, every role holds significance. Among those making a significant contribution at Nepal Life Insurance is Muktinath Kapri, Senior Agency Manager, who has already stunned the company by surpassing the MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) target of NPR 5,396,700 set for 2026.
Kapri, who has been actively involved in life insurance for the past 14 years, has been a key figure in supporting Nepal Life’s business growth, particularly from Chitwan.
From Showroom Manager to Insurance Advocate
Originally from Ward No. 5, Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality, Dhading District, Kapri is currently dedicated to promoting life insurance in Chitwan. His journey into the insurance industry is as unique as it is inspiring.
In 2068 BS (2011 AD), while working as a branch manager at Syakar Trading Company in Chitwan, he witnessed agents receiving scooters as rewards for meeting their sales targets from Nepal Life. These agents would collect their scooters from his showroom, sparking his curiosity about the insurance sector.
One such agent, Laxmi Karnel, who earned a scooter through Nepal Life, explained the business to him in detail. This conversation sparked a deep interest in Kapri, leading him to pursue a career as an insurance agent. Upon joining Nepal Life, Kapri says he felt liberated from many personal challenges and found new purpose.
“Every Goal Teaches Something”
“Whether or not you achieve your goals, setting them always gives you an opportunity to learn,” says Kapri. “Life insurance plays a crucial role in societal transformation.” Through his work, he has earned not just wealth but also social recognition and respect.
Consistent Achiever: Six-Time MDRT, Eyes on TOT
Since 2021, Kapri has qualified for MDRT six times in a row, reaching COT (Court of the Table) in 2024. Driven by a passion for making a mark, he has kept records of all clients from his earlier office and personally explained insurance to each of them.
He claims to have brought more than 700 people under insurance coverage to date and has provided services to many renowned individuals. To qualify for COT in 2026, an agent must generate NPR 16,190,100 in insurance premium collections. To reach TOT (Top of the Table), the figure increases to NPR 32,380,200.
“Selfless Work Always Yields Results”
Kapri believes that agents should work with a selfless mindset. If clients are properly informed about insurance, agents will never return empty-handed. “If agents focus only on making sales, it can send the wrong message to clients,” he says. “That’s why selfless service is essential in this field.”
He also emphasizes that progress in the insurance sector requires hard work and collaboration from all sides. For hardworking youth, this field holds great promise.
“This industry offers excellent career prospects,” he adds. “A large portion of Nepal’s population is still uninsured. In such a scenario, entering the insurance sector for employment is absolutely the right decision.”
